Vietnamese).
Northwest,
founded in 1986, is located in Beaverton, Oregon, USA, just outside
of
Portland, OR. Since 1995 we have been active in Vietnam, where we
currently are the leading provider of cardiac pacemakers and
defibrillators. Tam Thu/Systolic, established in 2007, is our sales and
marketing arm in
Vietnam, where we also maintain a Northwest Signal Processing, Inc.
Resident Representative office in
Hochiminh City. Systolic has sales representatives in Hochiminh City,
Danang, Hue, Hanoi. We source most of our products directly
from
Biotronik,
the leading European manufacturer of cardiac rhythm management
products. We are proud of the reliability and trustworthiness of our
German products.
Northwest also undertakes biomedical research in
the US. One of
the concepts that we are currently developing is a method for
preventing
an episode of tachyarrhythmia from happening.
Since
our sales and marketing focus is on Vietnam, except for this and the
product
summary web page,
all
the other pages at this website are in Vietnamese. Besides the
products presented in the English Product Summary web site, we have a

Sudden cardiac death risk
stratification system. A negative test made 3
months (or more) after a heart attack is an indication that
a survivor with chronic heart failure (left ventricular
ejection
fraction of less than 40%) is not at risk of sudden cardiac death in
the next 12-24 months, and thus does not need a defibrillator implant.
Tests should be repeated yearly.
We support Vietnamese
cardiologists with frequent seminars in Vietnam and scientific and
technical materials. For patients we have developed Vietnamese patient
manuals. This website also provides information about the technology
used in the products we market along with overviews of these products.
We
are always looking for additional leading edge products to market in
